Cecil Rimes was a renowned fine art photographer who called New Orleans home for over 25 years. Deeply committed to the craft of photography, he focused on the traditional aspects of the medium and its potential for artistic exploration.

Rimes preferred working in black and white, using large format and pinhole cameras to connect with photography’s roots and push its expressive boundaries beyond modern digital techniques. His subjects ranged widely, from nudes and landscapes to botanicals and baseball parks, reflecting his interest in both the natural world and human culture.
